Smyth & Weir established in 2024 by Julie Ashforth, an Irish born designer now living in London. The brand breathes new life into fine vintage and antique jewellery, mainly from Victorian and Edwardian eras. Each historic piece tells a story that deserves to be worn and cherished again.
Passionate about the preloved vintage market and fed up with the current disposable jewellery trend, Julie wanted to create affordable ‘forever jewellery’, using fine vintage and antique pieces as the stars of the show!

Antique jewellery can be full of secret messages and sentiment in the form of creatures and symbols. These antique treasures may once have been brooches, hat / tie pins or watch fobs, re-imagined alongside new solid gold elements to create beautiful, more sustainable pieces for today. Each radiating a gorgeous patina, luster and an old charm, only to be found in period fine jewellery.
